Bobbie Benavidez
Bobbie Benavidez is a native of Pueblo. She graduated from South High School and the University of
Southern Colorado. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with a minor in education.
Bobbie, also, received a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Phoenix.
Bobbie started her teaching career in Aurora Public Schools where she taught 7 th grade for 6 years. She
returned to Pueblo where she became a middle school math teacher in Pueblo District #70. She was one
of the fortunate teachers selected to teach in a brand new school, Skyview Middle School. After
teaching for 30 years, Bobbie retired from District #70.
Bobbie’s husband, David, works for Pueblo District #70, and they have a daughter that attends school in
the same district.
