Mr. David Montera

David is teaching the following subjects in our middle school: 6th, 7th, & 8th grade Social Studies, 7th grade Speech, 8th grade Advanced Speech, 6th, 7th, & 8th grade Language Arts.

Mr. Montera grew up in Aguilar, Colorado.  He earned an Associate of Arts Degree from Trinidad State Junior College and a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Northern Colorado.  His Master's was completed at Adams State University.  He began his teaching career at Rocky Ford High School before moving to Pueblo to teach at Centennial High School for thirty-six years.  He is still the speech and debate coach at Centennial and is recognized as a six diamond coach by the National Speech and Debate Association.  Mr. Montera is a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoys cycling and traveling.  Mr. Montera's wife, Teresa, is a music educator.  Their daughter, Talia, also hopes to be a teacher in the future.
